Official opening of Elephant Park

Elephant Park is one of the of the largest new parks to open in central London for decades and at its heart is the magnificent Elephant Springs; a rocky, watery landscape which has been enjoyed by the whole community since it opened earlier this summer!

Now that coronavirus guidelines allow, we would like to officially mark its opening!

Please join us as the Mayor of Southwark, Councillor Barrie Hargrove, officially opens this fantastic new community space.

As well as the official opening, there will also be musical performances throughout the day, plus children’s face painting and free guided tours of the park as part of Open House 2021.

For the day’s programme please see below:

• Official opening of the park and Elephant Springs 12.30pm-1pm
• Musical performances from Lucy May Walker and Alex Hall between 11am-2pm
• Children’s facepainting from 11am-3pm
• Free guided tours every 30 minutes between 11am-4pm
