Fandangoe Whip at Elephant Park

We’re pleased to say that the artist known as Fandangoe Kid (real name Annie Nicholson), is bringing her punningly-named van Fandangoe Whip to Elephant Park.

The installation will run from September 30 to October 2 and is in collaboration with London College of Communication. Whilst Annie has visited towns and cities across the UK, this leg of the tour brings Annie back to her roots, as she studied graphic design at UAL’s London College of Communication, just a short walk away.

The project was inspired by Nicholson’s own experience of grief, which goes back to 2011 but which has been brought into focus by the Coronavirus pandemic.

She explains: “We have all experienced a loss of some sort this past year, whether a physical loss of loved ones or a loss of lifestyle and routine, or both."

 The Fandangoe Whip will be at Elephant Park, SE17 1UB, from 30 September – 2 October, open from 11am-4pm each day.
