The UEFA European Championship has to be one of the most highly anticipated tournaments in decades. After almost 18 months of lockdowns and social distancing we are desperate to come together to support our teams and cheer them on against the mammoth clubs of Europe.
So where to watch the Euros in London, 2021? Here in Elephant & Castle, we believe we have some of the best bars Elephant and Castle has to offer to catch the matches and soak up the atmosphere. Here’s just a few of our favourites…
2 Sayer Street
Could we really start with any other pub? This sports bar is cool, the selection of beer unrivalled, and it will be showing back-to-back matches for the duration of the tournament. They’ve even brought in some new beers to celebrate the teams who have qualified. Once you’ve had a few, the current “kitchen residents” are Brick City Burgers, who will be serving up “Floribbean” soul food. Think American classics with a saucy Cuban twist.
Join The Tap In on the weekend of 26th and 27th June for not only a stream of matches but also a pop up from Cult Kits. They’ll be bringing a collection of vintage football shirts and art to the Tap In, many of which are available to purchase. An added shot of joy for football lovers.

119 Newington Causeway
Moments from the train station, this is a great option if you’re inviting friends from further afar. With a sizeable outdoor area, it’s also a great option for a sunny day – al fresco beers and football, it’s a space to rival the Fan Zone itself!
As well as a sizeable and varied drinks menu, the bar snacks are utterly exceptional – like a fancy twist on pub classics. Tuck into a black pudding and fennel scotch egg, padron peppers, or crab fries with lemon, spring onion and Sriracha mayo.
What’s more, The Elephant & Castle don’t allocate all their tables for bookings, so if you’re being spontaneous and looking for a pit stop, definitely give them a try.
21 Bartholomew Street
If you follow the Spit & Sawdust pub (another Elephant Park favourite) on Instagram, you won’t have missed the fact that they’re big football fans. ‘The @euro2020 start 2 weeks tomorrow. We’ll be showing all the big games on our huge screens,’ reads one of their posts from a fortnight ago and tells you pretty much all you need to know. 1 Blackfriars Bridge
A historic and spacious building, Doggett's Coat and Badge pub in South Bank, London is within a short stroll The Tate Modern London, Shakespeare’s Globe and Borough Market restaurants. 1 Gladstone Street
The Albert Arms is the definition of a proper London pub. Although, going by the quality of the food, it merits its new title as a gastropub too. Alongside the great eats you can tuck into an excellent range of beers, spirits and wines.
Eat and drink your way through the day while the Euros play on the big screen. If you’re lucky enough to get a table on a Sunday, save yourself for the Sunday lunch. The Yorkshires are the size of a fist (not to mention delicious!).

Flat Iron Square
Located in Southwark, join Flat Iron this summer as they show all the big matches from the 2020 Euros on our huge outdoor screens. Note that your table will be required back after the game, according to their FAQs, and that all England fixtures are 18+. Book online or email info@flatironsquare.co.uk.
72 Blackfriars Road
The Ring was set up, as the name suggests, as an ode to boxing. Why? Because it’s situated right opposite the historic home of British boxing. The building opposite was bought by former lightweight champion Dick Burge in 1910 and staged a plethora of historic fights. So it may come as a surprise that they’re football focussed during the Euros, but who can argue with the reliable source that is London’s TimeOut magazine? There’s plenty of seating outside the pub, which is directly opposite Southwark station and acts as a great focal point, landmark and meeting place right on the corner of Blackfriars Road and The Cut.
