Tupi in Elephant and Castle is making waves in the bottomless brunch scene. Here’s what to expect from the Brazilian restaurants.

With other outposts in Peckham and Croydon, we’re delighted to have a Tupi in Elephant & Castle. Here’s everything you need to know before you book your table.
Tupi describes itself as Born in Brazil, made in London. So it makes sense that the menu is a sort of fusion between the two. Staple British dishes like burgers and steak are served up with a South American twist; Chimichurri sauce or charred egg yolk bring a different flavour to each. There are also staple Brazilian dishes on there, like Muqueca, a fish stew made with coconut milk or Feijoada, a black bean casserole stuffed with chorizo and pork.
We recommend trying the sharing platter which gives you a selectin of the house-favourite starters, all of which are delicious. We’re talking sticky citrussy chicken thighs, polenta chips, turmeric cauliflower, and grilled halloumi. A perfect accompaniment if you’re indulging in cocktails.
It’s something that’s quickly gained popularity in the last few years. Pair that with the popularity of South American restaurants in this part of London and you’ve got the perfect Sunday pastime: Brazilian bottomless brunch. And the brunch at Tupi, Elephant and Castle really doesn’t disappoint.
For £33 per person, you’ll get a main dish accompanied by as much Aperol spritz, wine, beer, or prosecco you can drink in a 90-minute slot. Runs from 12pm to 6pm every single Saturday and Sunday. One to book in with your friends pronto.
Good food is the backbone of a restaurant, but find a place with a well-designed drinks list and you’re onto a winner. The wine selection features a couple of solid South American options (from Chile and Argentina) but the cocktails selection is where the Brazilian spirit shines through.
South American spirits are used quite liberally throughout with different flavours of caipirinha featuring too. We suggest sampling the Blue Diablo - Jose Cuervo Clasico, blue curaçao, juice lime, lemon juice and club soda.
If you can’t quite imagine brunch without your four-legged friend, you’re in luck. Tupi, Elephant and Castle is dog-friendly. But please – well behaved pooches only inside the restaurant.
If you visit between the hours of 4pm and 8pm, Monday through Friday, you’ll also be glad to know it’s happy hour, where all cocktails are an enticing £5 each.
You can find Tupi, Elephant and Castle at 2 Castle Square, Elephant Road. SE17 1EN. We recommend booking in advance of your visit, via the Tupi website.
