From 6pm – 12am they’ll be throwing their third annual Welcome to the Gaybourhood Party with a resident DJ who will be playing the best pop, dance and disco queens – in honour of Her Majesty’s big day.

To start the weekend off right, you can come along and enjoy 2 for 1 drinks from 6 – 7pm. Entry is free, but we’d recommend you register for a ticket to make sure you don’t miss out!

Why not bring the whole family along to Castle Square on Friday 3rd June for a street party? From 11am – 5pm chairs and tables will fill the al fresco dining areas, and an exclusive Jubilee menu will be on offer for just £5.50 per dish.

Come and join the buzzing atmosphere and browse the outside food stalls that will be showcasing foodie favourites from our local traders. What’s on offer? Take a look at the list below for just some of the delicious dishes they’ll be serving up!

Exciting new cocktail bar Cherry Tiger will also be serving up extra special cocktails for the day, including their Pisco Sour – using a special brandy distilled in Peru and Chile. Yum!

And the fun doesn’t stop there. Catch a performance by magician Paul Longhurst, who will be fascinating kids and grown-ups alike with his magic tricks. Take the kids to get their faces painted for free, and enjoy music from Colombian jazz musician Roberto Pla, accompanied by his jazz band. It’s sure to be an afternoon to remember!

The Big Jubilee Lunch at Elephant Park
Sunday 5th June

Come together in the spirit of fun and friendship and join us at Elephant Park for The Big Jubilee Lunch, from 11am – 4pm.  We’ve got a full day of fun planned that the whole family can enjoy, so bring the kids, grab a picnic blanket and celebrate Jubilee weekend with us in Elephant and Castle!

Additional seating will be put up all the way through Sayer Street, so you can get involved with the best community in Southeast London and get to know your neighbours whilst surrounded by good food, live theatre, workshops and live music.

Here’s the details so you don’t miss anything:

From 11am – 2pm we’ll have face-painting by Elephant Springs. Get comfy while the kids play in the sand and springs, then dry off and get some special jubilee-themed face-painting done to mark the occasion. Make sure to snap some pictures and tag us using #JubileeAtTheElephant!

Pop along to The Treehouse to enjoy live performances by musicians throughout the day. From 12 – 2pm, acoustic pop/rock signer and songwriter Lea Barrufato will be performing his unique blend of rock, pop and Latin music inspired by his Argentinian-Italian roots. Later on, from 2 – 4pm, Aoife O’Dea will be performing her combination of contemporary classics with vocals accompanied by the enchanting electric harp.

Blue Elephant Theatre will be on hand to keep the little ones entertained with workshops and a short children’s show, suitable for ages 2+. Join them in the park for one of their three performances of their Ana & Silly show, starting at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.  Hear all about Ana the squirrel, who’s starting school soon with her cousin Silly. With themes of making friends and learning about change and transitions in life, it’ll keep the kids entertained and teach them a few helpful life lessons, too.

Then, from 2 – 4pm we’ll be celebrating seven decades of Her Majesty the Queen’s reign with Art in the Park workshops. Get creative and make something to take home, using materials and activities that inspired the Queen herself.

You can expect:

• Collaborative drawing

• 3D flower garlands using colourful paper

• Commemorative cards using pressed flowers, printing, rubbing and collage
