Change Please – coffee with a conscience

Opening soon in Elephant & Castle is Change Please, a multi-award-winning social enterprise dedicated to tackling homelessness, where a cup of coffee can be life changing. 

…one cup of coffee at a time. Launched in November 2015, Change Please trains people experiencing homelessness as baristas, ensuring they’re paid the London Living Wage. Not only that, Change Please goes on to help people with securing housing, improving their mental wellbeing, and ultimately helping them into future employment. And it’s all down to a cup of Change Please coffee.

Change Please doesn’t just do good things; it creates good things, too. In two years alone, Change Please has won four Great Taste Awards for its coffee. A Change Please coffee is award-winning and life changing: 100% of the profits from its delicious coffee goes towards tackling homelessness. With millions of coffees sold, and multiple sites across London with sights set on countries around the globe, this is a truly sustainable Social Enterprise. Oh, and the coffee is incredibly affordable. 

Change Please will make a fantastic addition to the Elephant Park community. Liam, a Change Please trainee barista, puts it perfectly: “I feel part of a movement, part of a change in society. Everyone is part of a bigger thing. I am not just someone who makes the coffee, we are Change Please.” Change Please coffee is more than a cup of caffeine, it’s a cup of real change.
